The Author

Matilda Martin has always had a love of learning new facts and finding out how things work. A keen fossil hunter, Matilda is a children's book author from East Anglia, UK, and she loves discovering new ways to write about the natural world.

The Illustrator

Teresa Bellon was born in Albacete, Spain in 1987. She has illustrated books for Spanish and international clients and her work has been shown at several exhibitions. Her influences are mainly Portuguese and Nordic illustrators of children's books and Teresa's own drawings have a reduced colour palette with simple compositions. Finally, Teresa finds inspiration wherever she can. So she travels, buys illustrated books and walks around her home city, Madrid.
